Hi all,
This afternoon at the EVAC meeting we discussed the idea of having a book study of Daniel H. Pinks' book "A Whole New Mind".
I think that it would be very interesting to do the book study via this blog format. I will begin as the blog/bookstudy moderator but I think that we can share that duty if anyone is interested.
So go ahead and respond to this blog with your thoughts.

Chan 1st thanks for starting this. At first I really thought this book was going to be hard to read but I have found myself wanting to keep reading. The writing style is one that really paints a picture I love all the analogies.... To the comment made about how languages and different cultures have different meaning for the same words. Having studied hebrew I know it can be very difficult to translate . I hope that the testing in american will change because it is doing us no good.I also starting wondering after reading about what society would be like if we did not always wonder what others thought and just worried about pleasing people and being freindly. The chapter left me wondering why we teach to the right brain or the left how does one know which is the stronger side also what makes one side stronger is it genetics or learned behaviors?
I thinks it's a GREAT idea. Count me in.
1. We should read a chapter a week.
2. Post a question related to the chapter.
3. Create an open dialouge
Have two people moderate discussion.
I have my students at International Academy of Design & Technology read excerpts from this book and we chat on the campus discussion board.
